WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear friends and colleagues, on behalf of all of us in Singapore, I want to welcome you to join us at the combined 19th Congress of the Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology and 13th Congress of the Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation.
There has been considerable progress made in the technological advancement for treatment of colorectal diseases recently. Such advancements need to be matched by the wisdom and experience of master surgeons to deliver improved patient outcomes. Therefore, we have created an exciting program around the theme of “East Meets West – Furthering Colorectal’s Best”. We hope to spur greater discussion on improving patient outcomes from colorectal surgery.
This year, we have also incorporated the 4th Congress of the Asia and South Pacific Ostomy Association into the program to increase collaboration with other stakeholders in stoma rehabilitation. As always, Singapore stands ready to welcome you and your family to experience the various attractions we have to offer. I hope to greet each and every one of you in Singapore soon!
